Oxnard is known as the Strawberry capital, and celebrates that status with the Strawberry festival every May. The seven miles of pure white sand beaches are an attraction in themselves, and with the mild weather it's possible to swim nearly year round. For a family friendly diversion, visit the Gull Wings Children's Museum. Visitors of any age will love the fully interactive displays. There is even a rock climbing wall!
